THE BEGINNINGS
Like a desire to change things.
Le Jouet Simple was created by Pierre in 2021. At just thirty years old, overwhelmed by the desire to participate in what he would like to see change, Pierre left his position at one of the industry leaders to embark on the adventure of Le Jouet Simple.
A far from simple industrial project, carried out with one conviction: to imagine products that awaken awareness of today's world while ensuring the world of tomorrow.
Over the years, Pierre surrounded himself with passionate and committed people and this is how Le Jouet Simple grew.
The world is beautiful when it is drawn with the carefree spirit of childhood.
Lately, when everything has been turned upside down, we thought there were things to reinvent.
We observed this new reality with the desire to participate in what we would like to see change. We took out our childhood drawings and began to dream in the face of such simplicity.
Today, as children grown up, we wanted to contribute to prolonging this peaceful vision, of a world to be preserved, which we cannot indefinitely redraw.

RETHINKING TOY MAKING
It's a no-brainer to offer classic early learning toys. Educational toys, essential for exploring the world. Basic toys that truly serve a purpose.
At Simple we have one conviction: not to invent anything new whose usefulness we are not sure of , but to innovate in the way of manufacturing products that already have a proven use.
There is no question of creating a product that is not useful to children and would not please parents.

TOYS MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS
We watched many children play and realized that they often preferred to play with plastic toys. Their colors, shapes, and weights are particularly conducive to play.
We knew then that if we wanted to make a toy to play with, we had to use plastic. But we didn't want a material that required the use of fossil fuels.
Rather than using a new material, we preferred to turn to what already exists.
We know that plastic is everywhere today, and that's a problem. But it can also become a solution, thanks to the circular economy. Working with experts, we've found a solution for safe and responsible toys.
We manufacture toys from HDPE made from recycled offcuts from the manufacturing of everyday products.
RETURNED TOYS
We believe that using recycled and recyclable materials is no longer enough. We must manufacture and consume in a circular economy. This means considering the end-of-life of our products from the very beginning.
One of the main problems with recycling many toys is that they are made of different types of plastic and materials (electronics, fabrics, etc.).
Our toys are made from a single material, so they are fully recyclable.
But we wanted to go further. We know that a toy has a very short lifespan. Yet, we are committed to ensuring that it never ends up abandoned at the bottom of a closet or thrown away.
This is why our toys are returnable, from the start.
Each toy comes with a deposit (included in the sale price). When they are no longer in use, they can be returned to us, the deposit is returned, and the collected products are recycled into new toys.
TESTED AND CONTROLLED EARLY EARLY LIFE TOYS
Compliance with CE and EN71 standards
Toys intended for young children and babies under 3 years old are particularly controlled.
Before being marketed, our toys are tested in a laboratory.
Experts test the durability and quality of the materials used. Once the tests are validated, we affix the CE mark. All our toys have a certificate of conformity.
ZERO Endocrine Disruptors
Each batch of recycled plastic is laboratory tested to ensure there are no traces of controversial substances.
The quality control of our toys exceeds the required standard. We subject the raw materials to all the chemical tests that ensure the manufacture of products without endocrine disruptors, phthalates, PVC or Bisphenol A.
Did you know?
Every year, tens of thousands of imported toys are destroyed by customs because they are non-compliant. Choosing toys made in France with the CE logo means choosing toys that meet all safety standards.
